The diploma in Pharmacy Course, also known as the D.Pharma Course, is a two-year full-time diploma level course for students who want to work in the medical field. It covers the fundamental requirements for becoming a registered pharmacist in India. It is a career-focused programme in pharmaceutical sciences. The goal of this course is to provide students with the entry-level knowledge required to work in pharmacies and hospitals. This course prepares students to work as a licenced pharmacist's assistant in a government or private chemist, hospital, or other pharmacy-related fields.

D.Pharm Course Eligibility Criteria
1:- Candidates must have completed their 10+2 class from a recognised board with a minimum grade point average of 50% in the science stream.
2:- Instead, SC/ST/OBC candidates must obtain a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
D.Pharm Course Admission Form:
1:- Admission to these courses is based on an entrance exam administered by government and private institutions, which is often followed by a personal round of interviews in which the general aptitude for the course is tested.
2:- However, some institutes offer direct admission (Merit-based) based on students' performance in 10+2 classes.
D.Pharm Syllabus:-
The course lasts two academic years, with each academic system divided into 180 working days and 500 hours of practical training completed in three months. An examination is given twice a year. The examinations are written, practical, and oral in nature. The exams last three hours each, and any candidate who fails any subject must retake it. He or she must obtain a minimum of 50% in each subject.
In India, D.Pharm Scope:
The D.Pharma course scope is the bare minimum for practising pharmacy in India. After completing this course, students can pursue advanced studies such as a Master's degree and the Course of D Pharma , for example. Higher education can also be pursued abroad. A Ph.D. can also be obtained in related fields such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Management, and so on.
